Mountain Hardwear Tent. Mountain Hardwear tent material is strong, flame-retardant Nylon Ripstop. They come with stakes and guy lines for anchoring to the ground. There is an internal guy system included with the Expedition 4 season to add stability during bad weather conditions. The strong aluminum poles come ready to use and do not require any preparation. They connect and are held together with an elastic cord running inside the tube of the pole. The seams for both the body and flysheet are ready as-is and do not require any additional sealing. Mountain Hardwear tent poles are made with Atlas 7001 aluminum. All poles are field serviceable without needing tools. For example, if a pole breaks, it can be splinted using an aluminum repair sleeve (found in repair kits), or splinted using stakes, sticks and rope.
Mountain Hardwear Tent footprints. These ground covers protect the material from wear and tear of pressure and friction against the ground. Footprints greatly extend the life of the Mountain Hardwear tent by adding a thick waterproof barrier between the ground and the floor. Footprints are held in place with reinforced tabs that extend out from underneath directly to the pole. Mountain Hardwear tent footprints have a unique and versatile design feature: Along with the fly and poles, they are designed to be used as a lightweight overnight shelter. Using just the footprint, pole and fly you can erect a shelter. This expands your options for fast, light travel during mild conditions. Three Classes of Mountain Hardwear Tent:
The "Expedition Mountain Hardwear Tent" category are designed for use in the most austere conditions. They are ideal for high-altitude mountaineering and other alpine or extreme situations. Expedition flooring is 40D High Tenacity Polyester Ripstop, 4000mm microporous Polyurethane plus a waterproofing.
The "Superlight Mountain Hardwear Tent" category is like the name says. These are light weight and absolutely excel when minimizing is important. They are very efficient and easy to set up. They work well for trekking or distance traversing when you need to go light and fast. The Atlas UL Superlight pole system is new technology and gives additional synergy to this category, now making the Mountain Hardwear tent even lighter. The flooring of the Superlight Mountain Hardwear tent is a 40D/ 240T outer shell fabric. This type of material is rugged and compressible, and has a water repellant finish applied.
The "All Mountain Mountain Hardwear Tent" category is the most versatile Mountain Hardwear tent. It provides exceptional features, comfort, with highly functional 3-season camping. All flooring in a Mountain Hardwear tent is a nylon taffeta with non-hydrolyzing polyether urethane which absolutely keeps the water out. This type of coating is lightweight at just 2.5 ounces per sq yard, and substantially more durable than standard urethanes.
Mountain Hardwear Lightpath Tent The body of the Lightpath is made with 70D 190T Nylon ripstop. The flooring is 68D 210T nylon taffeta with 2000mm PU coat. The Lightpath's fly is 68D polyester taffeta with 1500mm PU layer and a waterproofing. The Mountain Hardwear Lightpath tent easily fits into a backpack. It is a three-person, three-season Mountain Hardwear tent in the "All Mountain" category. When the fly is used, the Lightpath is watertight! Reflective lines are provided if needed during high winds. These guy lines light up with a headlamp at night. The Mountain Hardwear Lightpath tent provides 15 sq feet of vestibule area for muddy or wet clothing, or for stowage of packs to provide extra room inside the Lightpath. During fair skies the Mountain Hardwear Lightpath can be set up without the fly to give additional air movement through the screen window and door. The Lightpath is easy to set up and can be done even in the dark and during bad conditions. The Lightpath is just about right for three adults with an area of 44 sq ft and an interior height of 48 and a half inches (124 centimeters). Mountain Hardwear Sprite 1 Tent. The Sprite 1 is in the "All Mountain" category of Mountain Hardwear three season. The Sprite 1 is made specially for one person travel. It compacts to a small size and fits into a backpack. The dimentions of the Sprite 1 are 90 inches by about 20 inches and has an area of 17 and a half sq ft or 1.6 sq meters. The interior height is 37 inches (94cm) and there is a vestibule that measures 5 square feet or 0.46 sq meters. The Sprite 1 has a "J" shape giving a highly efficient use of space, with gear and boots in the J end. The Sprite 1 is wide enough packs next to sleeping pad to the side. The lightweight Atlas 7001 poles come with the Mountain Hardwear Sprite 1 tent and provide stability in bad weather. stand strong in stormy weather. The Sprite 1 is made water tight. There are storage pockets to hold things you need at night, like the headlamp or other items. The windows and doors are a screen mesh allowing plenty of air to move if wanted. Mountain Hardwear Casa 4/6. Both the Casa 4 and Casa 6 are "All Mountain" 3 season family tents. The Casa 4 easily holds four adults with a height of 62.5 inches or 160 centimeters. It has a tall vertical entry. The Casa 6 also has a large vertical entry space at six feet high at the opening and is designed to house six adults. The interior height of the Casa 6 is 73 inches or 185 centimeters. Both the Casa 4 and Casa 6 have excellent ventilation and the watertight construction is guaranteed. The body fabric is made with 40D 238T Nylon Ripstop with a 2000 millimeter Polyester Urethane and has a water repellant material applied. Both the Casa 4 and Casa 6 flooring is made with tough 40D 238T Nylon Ripstop with 1500mm Polyester Urethane and has a thick waterproof coating applied. The vestibule of both the Casa 4 and Casa 6 is perfect for camping equipment and packs. There are two zippers on either side for venting and allowing some airflow into that space. The tags on the zippers are big and easy to grab and find at night. The frame for the Casa 4 and Casa 6 is excellent and uses the Atlas 7001 poles. There are sundries pockets at the back and two in the front. It important to use the Mountain Hardwear Casa Footprint for protection against the rocks and sticks and other sharp objects.
