Mountain Hardwear Tents
Mountain Hardwear Tents
The Mountain Hardwear tent material is strong, flame-retardant Nylon Ripstop. They come with stakes and guy lines for anchoring to the ground. There is an internal guy system included with the Expedition 4 season to add stability during bad weather conditions. The strong aluminum poles come ready to use and do not require any preparation. They connect and are held together with an elastic cord running inside the tube of the pole. The seams for both the body and flysheet are ready as-is and do not require any additional sealing. Mountain Hardwear tent poles are made with Atlas 7001 aluminum. All poles are field serviceable without needing tools. For example, if a pole breaks, it can be splinted using an aluminum repair sleeve (found in repair kits), or splinted using stakes, sticks and rope.
Mountain Hardwear Tent footprints
These ground covers protect the material from wear and tear of pressure and friction against the ground. Footprints greatly extend the life of the Mountain Hardwear tent by adding a thick waterproof barrier between the ground and the floor. Footprints are held in place with reinforced tabs that extend out from underneath directly to the pole. Mountain Hardwear tent footprints have a unique and versatile design feature: Along with the fly and poles, they are designed to be used as a lightweight overnight shelter. Using just the footprint, pole and fly you can erect a shelter. This expands your options for fast, light travel during mild conditions. All necessary parts are provided in the footprint package for this option.
