But the real heart of 1st Ascent is our rocking climbing area. We have a 24 foot roped climbing wall, Tread Wall, Moon Board, as well as plenty of bouldering options. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, we have routes to challenge you. And for those small people in your life, we have a kids' area where they can safely try their hand at climbing in a fun environment.

Rockfish Climbing & Fitness This family friendly climbing space and workout facility for adults is located inside the Whitefish Mountain Mall. The gym includes over 12,000 square feet of climbing and fitness equipment. Personal training is available in our 24 hour fitness center. Climbing walls include a smaller, kid-specific bouldering area as well as a variety of terrain to cater to all levels of climbers. Bouldering is a fun, social form of physical fitness. Climbers only need climbing shoes to get started; no other special equipment is necessary. The climbs are shorter and climbers are protected by a padded floor. Bouldering is easy to learn and enjoy.
